" A modern hotels no frills, clean comfortable and easy. Only wrinkle was they ask for a card number and expiry for other charges. I don’t carry plastic cards any more. I could get it from an app but the woman in front of me had to get a flat mate to find hers and then get sent a photo. "

"Lovely stay overall. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a double one. The room is dated but had everything you need plus a bathtub which was amazing after a working day! Newcastle sightseeing spots are in walking distance there is a 10 mins walk to a shopping centre. Amazing if you’re travelling by train as the train station is juts next door. There is no noise in the room at all though. Highly recommending!"

"One of the nicest places we've stayed in Newcastle and the location was first class especially for the Theatre Royal & the Bigg Market. Receptionist 'Chloe' was very friendly and welcoming! Room was brill (Room 532), nice King Size bed, Aircon fantastic and everything else brill for an Overnight stay. Happily go back again for the price"

"The Copthorne was wonderful, it was warm and inviting, with helpful and supportive staff members. We only stayed the one night but will be sure to return soon. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and the room was immaculate, with views out onto the river which were second to none. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with a good selection of food. "
