"Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

"Stayed before the hotel was renovated. Now everything is lovely and tastefully decorated. Very calm amd relaxing. Food and service excellent. Room 8 was a little small but perfect for a 1 night stay, ensuite immaculate. Would recommend staying and doing the low force to high force walk on the opposite side of the river."

"The Manor House Hotel is a stunning historical property with beautifully appointed features. The dining room is very stylish and beautifully decorated. The food is outstanding! "A lovely welcome to a lovely, remote Old Mill house..! The place is beautiful but needs a little TLC which works are being carried out now. The room was OK, big enough but a very cold bathroom - no heat in there at all.. The bed was old & creaky but clean & we slept OK. Tea & Coffee in the room. Bar area and breakfast was first class - always served with a smile. Open fire in bar area made it very cosy. We would stay again. Would love to see the place a little busier which I'm sure it will be...

Short mid week break

"Booked the property as it looked lovely and we were not let down. The images don't do it justice! It was spotless and we had all we needed. We loved the enclosed garden so our young cocker could play safely. There is a very well equipped kitchen with all you need. We ate in all the time when we were there and the wood burner was welcome with the freezing temperatures. We are already planning our next visit. The owners were brilliant and the welcome card and biscuits were welcome!"

"We were welcomed by Julie the owner on arrival, who explained how things worked in the cottage and passed on a lot of local information. We have stayed in a lot of properties and this is one of the best. Comfortable, well equipped, immaculately clean and a most generous welcome pack.. We are looking forward to our next stay."
