"It felt a little strange not to have a front desk. The security guard did not know why I was there and it took some time to get it all figured out. The "owners" of the "hotel" rooms in this Apartment building are very nice and eager to help, once you find them! I was there during the earthquake of Feb, 2010, and the building held up spectacularly-only very minor damage. So if you're worried about earthquakes, this building is okay.
