"Really felt like staying in the rainforest, but with excellent food and service. Villa was very private. Not a wildlife preserve, but we did see monkeys, a mom and baby sloth, birds, and lizards on the expansive property. The geothermal pools and the use of all 3 Nayara restaurants and facilities were major plusses that probably aren't emphasized enough."

"Unique luxury experience. We stayed with our two kids (6 and 9) and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The driver took us onto a real 4x4 off road experience whenever we were shuttled from the house to the reception/restaurant. The house had an amazing hot pool, fast internet, hot showers, a full kitchen, cosy beds, and the architecture of our house with its indoor/outdoor aspects could easily make it into some glossy magazines. Great hiking trails and all very private. Just wow. Thank you!"

"Peaceful retreat in La Tigra. Giovanni and Luis are the nicest people you are likely to meet. Even when we had a middle of the night emergency, they handled it with such grace and care. Their lodge is clean, quiet and the restaurant serves fresh delicious local food. Each morning staff would take the time to show us where the local sloth was hanging out in the property trees. La Tigra is small and quiet, and a bit of a drive from La Fortuna, but the roads are good and we felt it worth it to stay...
