"We loved our stay at The Treehouses Hotel. It was very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It felt like they were genuinely happy to share their spaces with us and that we were there. The breakfast was delicious. We all loved it and were grateful to watch the birds. The coffee delivered to our room was a wonderful treat and it was extra special to have the staff put fruit up near the treehouse to attract the birds in the morning . We stayed at the Frog treehouse and there is a significant amount of road noise at that one (they mention this in the description so we were prepared for it). We had a sound machine going and earplugs were still useful due to the large trucks passing on the road frequently. The night hike that is included is wonderful!! The resort staff was helpful to us for assisting with activity planning. I wish we had planned some activities like the Tico experience (an activity to make food with a local family) in advance. We waited until we got there and a lot was already booked. The tours with Juan Carlos looked awesome as well. We did end up taking their suggestion and doing the chocolate tour with their recommendation which was awesome! The Tree Houses Hotel is about 35-45 minutes from La Fortuna and about an hour from things like the hanging bridges and the Arenal volcano. The roads to and from it were well maintained. "

"I just can't say enough good things about our stay here. Beautiful people, property, and location. During our stay, we had a small medical emergency with one of our kiddos, and our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We are so very thankful! 10/10 we would recommend staying here if you are in the La Fortuna area! If we ever visit Costa Rica again we will be spending more time here! Thank You!"

"Upon arrival the gate and house codes we were given were backwards, and the alarm kept going off. The few numbers we called for help we couldn’t reach anyone. We finally got ahold of a 24/7 emergency number through the property manager Vacasa. We explained what was going on and they said they would have someone get back to us. No one reached out. We were not given clear instructions upon entering or leaving. We also weren’t left any keys to unlock the main door leading out from the kitchen to the veranda. This house is insanely loud. I was a bit skeptical with reviews but no, I don’t know how any person can sleep next to that road. The sound was majorly amplified into the house as it’s all open air and very thin wood walls. The house itself is old and gives an old cabin feel. The kitchen was great, minus the uneven floors. Would have been better if the door wasn’t locked and we could more easily access the veranda. The outside was nothing but beautifully landscaped and well taken care of. There were many areas to sit and enjoy meals, games; reading and coffee. Great to relax in the open air. The pool was clean, the jacuzzi didn’t work as per the booking guidelines. The beds were comfortable, and the fans helped cool it down in the evening but during the day can get pretty stuffy. We also weren’t left any garbage bags, or face cloths. All in all we enjoyed our time outside but would not be booking again due to the extreme loud traffic and lack of communication. "
