"We booked day-of after a change in plans and were just looking for a cheap and decent place to stay overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is adorable. No frills, but the room and premises were clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. They served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast. No A/C wasn't a problem as the temperature dropped at night. Walkable to town for dinner and drinks. Check in and check out were easy. "

"Extremely disappointed with this property. Have been using Expedia for a long time and the first time i experienced a below par status hotel. Would not recommend this next step up from a hostel, and i had ugraded to the honeymoon suite when booking this property. First time ever I asked to see the room before payment was made at checkin. Several first for me on the Expedia booking site."

"Not the smoothest of steep roads up the hill but well worth it when you get there. Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. The spacious room was more than adequate. "

"The shower's hot water is not strong enough, so you need to turn the water volume way down to have a decent temperature shower. The room sound insulation is very poor and you can easily hear the tv from next room. The room service is ok, and the bed was not set every day."

"Dirty hostel. Disrty pillow cases, musty rooms, slippery grated floors outsude to get in, no handicap entrances, very limited breakfast hours of 1.5 hours 6:20am-7:30am only. Flught was delayed in NYC due to flooding so we didn't get there until 2 days later and no one was on the premises- had ro go next door to another hotel to get someone to call that bed and breakfast. "

"So it’s not easy to drive here. Somehow Waze took us on a gravel road for miles it wasn’t easy to drive. So just make sure you get directions on the pave road. It’s beautiful and serenity kicks in. The manager is extremely nice and his dog is the best! "

"Fantastic hosts who were incredibly helpful for suggestions in the area and even helped me troubleshoot some conflicting information between a ticket I had booked and the hours a national park said it was open! "I stayed here four years ago and thought it was so well laid out in nature and with the pools and flowers and birds that I reserved again. The people are so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. They only need to describe it better on the menu. The portions of the appetizers are enough for a meal. The spa is beautiful. My husband and I both had massages looking at and listening to the nature outdoors. I also had one of the best facials I ever had. This hotel makes me want to come back and stay whenever I can come back to Costa Rica. It was very relaxing rain or shine. "

"This resort is very well kept and nestled in the forest. Our back patio in our private casita looked out at the forest and we saw monkeys in the trees in the morning. The massage area is so relaxing while in a private area overlooking the forest. The dining area has really good food. The staff is really nice. The pool area is very relaxing with a swim up bar. Very relaxing and beautiful all around. "

"The staff was very helpful and informative. They make an amazing options for many for breakfast and coffee selection is superb including gourmet hot chocolate. Went out of the way to ensure comfort and feeling welcomes. Toasty wood fire at night on the open deck for all to enjoy while taking on the cloud forest views. "
