"It was my first time actually staying in a Hostel, I was actually very happy to be Selina my first, it was a chill place so don’t expect much party, food and drinks in the restaurant were great, I didn’t use the community kitchen or fridge so can’t really comment on that, Staff was very friendly and welcome, coming solo to La fortuna Selina made it great a great experience."

"We were impressed with the how clean and how extremely helpful and nice the entire staff was. Breakfast was more than hopped for. Room was basic but clean and AC worked nicely. If you are on a budget, you get more than you pay for here. Thanks again to the entire staff at La Choza for a wonderful stay. "

"The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, however, it was often difficult to find anyone, even during posted office hours. The beds were very uncomfortable; the bathroom was VERY small; hot water in the shower was unreliable; the bathroom smelled (we think from the sink); there was a small step down just inside the entrance and another into the bathroom that were potential tripping hazards; we were told coffee was available in the kitchen from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but the door was locked...

"Great hostel in the heart of La Fortuna, situated 40 metres from Selina Hostel and 2 minutes from the bus terminal, main plaza and supermarkets. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and the entire ambience of the place is calming and cozy. WiFi was great too. Note though that the 9 bed dorm consists of triple bunks."

"Great place to stay! Staff very knowledgeable of the area and willing to help. My room was very nice. Night winds were high so it was a bit loud. Nothing the hotel can change, just part of the area. Just something to be aware of in the area."

"Loved this backpackers! Super cool rooms, and the view is excellent looking straight at the Arenal volcano! Awesome pool and bar right on property and downtown is so walkable from the front of the property! "

"We had a wonderful time. Hikda and Dani were ex eptionally gracious and accommodating, even when we misplaced our keys! I stay in many differnet types of lodging in Costa Rica, amd I bring tourism clients, and this one is now high on my list of places I must return. "

"Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend."

"We had a wonderful time. We visited La Fortuna years ago and since we’ve been back, many things have changed. We liked Cascada because it gave us the experience we had before; a modest and humble place where you see true Tic@ hospitality "

"Be sure to calibrate your expectations: this is not a luxury apartment. It was, however, an excellent value. While the building wasn't new, the room was well-kept. We were able to find parking each night on the street in front, but had to relocate the car closer one night. The owner is helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast of fruit, eggs, and gallo pinto was solid (especially at this price point). "

"I have traveled in many countries and slept in numerous hostels around the world and this is one of my all time favourites. The owner is absolutely amazing and super helpful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The location is good and the dorm room was nice and clean. I recommend this place very much!"

"Absolutely adorable cabins with the necessities to make your own meals if you desire. The employees were so helpful and nice. We felt like we were at summer camp, in the best way possible. In my opinion, this was way better than any hotel. "

"My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, and the property was excellent! The cabin was clean, with a beautiul view of this little aritificial pond that had ducks and fish in it. We were only a 5 minute drive from La Fortuna for groceries, and any time we communicated with Marco, we received a prompt response."

"After traveling to Europe, Asia, South America and North America to mention a few, I would say this is among, if not the best resort. The people went out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special. The Resort even when it was completely booked, didn’t feel that way at all. The hotel was extremely clean and the amenities were awesome. Highly Recommend The Royal Corin Resort!"

"We went to celebrate our 30th anniversary and we had an incredibly good time. The service at the restaurant was very nice and the cleaning service was perfect (Selena was very helpful, great job). We recommend this wonderful place."

"The hotel is well located. Area is beautiful and well maintained. Pools are amazing. Pool bar is exceptionnal. Maybe more attention on the rooms...small renewals could improve our general feedback (no water at a moment, bath in bad shape). Staff is exceptionnal."

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo in a family cabin. There was tons of space in the room, and lots of towels and amenities in the room. It rained our entire visit so we especially enjoyed using the thermal pools. The breakfast was nice though we would have liked a few more options to choose from. The highlight was the staff! While everyone from housekeeping to the serving staff was fantastic, we wanted to shout out Elio at the front reception who provided exceptional customer service. We would stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family."

Amazing experience for half the price of resorts

"This place was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning and there is a 15 minute walking trail that makes you feel like youre in the middle of the jungle. Staff was very friendly and the food at the restaurant delicious. The mineral pools were only have full but it was nice and were included in the stay. Id skip the more expensive resorts and go here for a quaint but still top teir cabin lodging experience. "
