I really enjoyed the local atmosphere—less touristy than areas like Gion or the busy streets around Kyoto Station. A highlight for me was dining at Yakiniku Hayashi, a fantastic local BBQ grill just down the street. The food was so delicious that I went two nights in a row! Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly."
