"Very happy with the stay, a great location for bars and pubs etc, there is parking , but it is restricted to 1.8meters , I just wish the site said the measurements as the vehicle I had was 1.9 so was abit annoying but did find a NCP carpark close by, I did message and try to call prior but didn’t get a response. The shower and kitchenette was superb, if I wanted to be petty then the tv remote didn’t work very well and took ages to change channels but I really wasn’t too bothered about that I...

"Check in was easy, bedrooms a good size and very comfortable beds. Heated towel rail & extractor not working. Tea & coffee facilities and a room safe. Cleaning staff could be a little more attentive during the stay. Food is very good quality and very well cooked, delightful dining room staff, thanks to Rory, Alex & Beth. Will return in the future to this ancient castle complete with peacocks!"

"Hotel perfect location All staff so approachable and friendly I booked a standard room which was at no fault except the shower was accessible over the bath. If you want a walk in shower you need to book the room above ie a deluxe. My only criticism is you couldn’t access the pool or sauna in the spa without paying, even though I was a paying guest and the charge was steep at £55. I have stayed at many hotels of this level and above where you could access the spa for use of pool and sauna...

"Very noisy at night from the street, could have done with triple glazing. But it was in the middle of the party part of town so if your out with the best of them you will not mind ! Staff were great and the hotel is right where you want to be "

"There were no shower gels etc in the bathroom Only realised in the morning when we came to shower so ended up just heading home No point getting dressed to go to reception and ask so that was disappointing "
