"This hotel is the place you want to stay at. It is outside of Reykjavik by 12 min, by taxi 20 min by public bus. The hotel is wonderfully themed with a great restaurant next to it. The night manager, Karolina at the front desk is absolutely lovely person. "The stay was fine. This hotels in a great, and very walkable location. The beds, although small, were comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathrooms are tiny! The hot water smell is something to get used to but bearable and honestly not the big of a deal. Waking up to the sound of church bells is quite interesting, felt like it was the town alarm for everyone to wake up for work. Unfortunately, there were renovations taking place below the room which made for very unpleasant wake up...

"Extremely friendly staff and super helpful. I’m in awe with the service they provided. The room had just what we needed, nothing more, nothing less. Not a big room if that’s what you’re looking for. It was big enough for us. We didn’t go to Iceland to spend our vacation in a room so not a deal breaker. Breakfast was amazing, they brought the breads and pastries fresh from a bakery every morning. Everything was delightful. The location was walking distance to everywhere we needed to go to. "

"Gorgeous spa hotel that included a soaking tub in the room. The restaurant was a bit lackluster, with the exception of the desserts- which were truly incredible. The restaurant was apparently undergoing a management change when we were there, so it is understandable that the meal was a bit chaotic. "The good: the breakfast was fantastic; parking was convenient; the beds were comfortable; hotel staff very kind; check-in and check-out very fast and easy The 'meh': not at walking distance from downtown (we had a car so we didn't care, but without it, it would've been inconvenient); it was a tad too hot in the room; no room service for stays up to 5 days - the say they're doing it for the environment, but they could at least sweep the floors with a broom (that's carbon neutral!)"
