We did see the card slot and inserted the room key but did not leave it in.. so no lights would come on. We went down to to the front desk and staff sent someone up, who showed us what to do. This hotel had no view at all.. window opened up to walls. I chose it because it offered a smoking room. The room did not smell like smoke. Efforts are made to run air filters. "
