"Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked. We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62. Will definitely book again and highly recommended."

"Although the location is lovely I Messaged the owner a day before our stay to ask about the check in process. He then informed me not even 24 hours before our stay that the pool would not be open. I explained how this is the only reason we booked but he was extremely unsympathetic. The owner knew about the pool not working a week before but decided not to tell us so we would no longer be eligible for a 50% refund. There was no form of compensation. Furthermore, check out was at 10am and the...
