"Hotel Hanabun was a great ryokan experience! It is nestled in the mountains offering a peaceful getaway from touristy/crowded areas. It had the best onsen water, even the locals went there to bathe! "I didn’t go to Myoko to sit in a hotel room, so this place was perfect. Comfy beds in a small room. Very dorm room style. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. "Singaporean family of 6, hard to fault anything. Most staff can speak basic English and attention is rendered to all appopriately, young and old. Onsen has different pool and some are not just warm enough for young kids to soak and enjoy. Food great Sleep mattress is Beauty Rest, futon might be alittle too thin for me but good for all kids. "

"We had a nice stay. A property prepared for days of skiing. The breakfast was good. The onsen warming. The views magnificent. We were snowed in one day and were only able to find food at a convenience store. The drives around the lake and mountains are beautiful. The highway has an exit nearby but there is plenty of other access. Probably great for summer too!"
