"Whilst a little dated, the bed in the economy double room was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The room itself was dark (not great lighting and one window looking over a small yard). The bathroom was OK. The shower was over a high sided bath and was a mixer rather than thermostatic. Plenty of hot water. Towels were fluffy and big! Tea and coffee in the room as well as water and biscuits and more on request at reception. Staff were fantastic. Really friendly, helpful and...

"Very quaint, great atmosphere being a pub downstairs with rooms above. It wasn’t noisy even on the weekend. We had a large room for 3. Breakfast choices were fabulous. The staff in the dining room were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely return to the Blue Boar. "
