Great property at great location but keep in mind that the area in front of the hotel is pedestrianized so your taxi cannot pickup / drop off at the entrance and you need to walk. Also the hotel has a strict policy on room temperatures so although I prefer a warm room, they insist on keeping it chilly during the winter to save money I guess. I would have gladly paid entra to turn up the thermostat for the duration of my stay

The Store is a brand new hotel which meant it was so warm and cozy, unlike many other Oxford hotels in the winter time. The staff were lovely, the lounge was gorgeous, and I loved the fluffy robes and decor is sleek and modern. Location is amazing for food and walking the city

Wonderful property right in the middle of Oxford. Comfortable, clean and good vibe in the lobby area. Room was equipped with an espresso maker and small fridge. The only downside, if there is one, is that rooms are on the small side relative to North American standards. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Oxford.

When I went to check out they said I had a 90 pound charge on my bill for dinner?? had not had any dinner. I was out all evening from 5:30PM to 10:00PM. Very disappointing service and security from a premium hotel.

The location was perfect for getting around. Very handy to have the tube station at the back door. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would rate the hotel 3.5 or 4.0 on a scale of 5.0. Our particular room (King) was not as large as expected and the bathroom was very small. It is not a luxury property.

Modern, stylish hotel in the heart of Oxford. Very close to Oxford U and perfectly placed for exploring, shopping, dining, etc. Onsite hotel dining options were good; array of menu options and above average food quality. Overall, service at the hotel was great from front-desk, restaurant, to room-service. My one disappointment was cleaning staff - they did a great job of keeping the hotel spotless however, this was accompanied by very loud and continuous early morning hallway chatter, which ultimately disrupted a peaceful sleep. Otherwise, stay was good.

very disappointed with size of room. absolutely the smallest window i have ever seen. It was functional enough but for the price was expecting and have always gotten much more. This is a newish hotel in Oxford town centre that is pitched (and priced) as a high end boutique hotel. The reality, however, is that the fit out - rooms, bathrooms and communal areas are really quite generic, perhaps at the level above a 3 star chain (holiday inn or premier inn). In addition to the lack of aesthetic appeal or individuality the staff were really not at the level of training or competence to work in a hotel at this price point. To be generous, the staff on the weekend we visited were young, pleasant but hopeless. Frankly I did not think I encountered any member of staff with genuine hospitality experience! Minor niggles - the bathroom was overheated with no apparent method for adjusting this. The cupboard housing the minibar could not be opened without the use of a spoon to crank it open. Not really a 500 pound per night experience! Minor niggles
