"Lovely hotel with amazing country views. Check in and out was very smooth with a lovely lady on reception. The room, just a standard double, was very nice although the floor could have been cleaner. The service in the restaurant was very slow and the food a bit hit or miss, on the first night our meal wasn’t very nice but the next night it was good. "Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. "Booked last minute as we needed to break our journey. Arrived at 20.30 hrs. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
