"Was very surprised for the price on my way they rang asked if i was arriving said yes welcome was good signing in good. The room was a twin clean modern new by looks bathroom. Lovely white cotton sheets duvet .t.v. heater so was warm. Entertainment on .breakfast full english good.only comment could do with tea tray in room .will go back highly recomend "

"Everything was fine based on the very reasonable room rate and including excellent breakfast. However the communal areas of the hotel, including staircase needed a good clean and an hour's painting touch-up."

"Lovely hotel, perfect for a place to stay whilst either exploring the area or travelling on. Staff helpful during check in. Room cosy and chocolates on bed a nice touch. Have already booked a further stay!"

"Did what it says on the tin! Clean, warm, good hot shower. Very soft mattress made it difficult for my disabled husband but that was personal preference. Lovely staff"

"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter.
