"The room was small but good. The shower is tiny so be aware and prepared. The location is beautiful, it is walkable to the main area of Reykjavik if you’re willing to walk about a mile to get there. "

Our room was beautifully appointed, with a towel warmer, full size hair dryer, a sumptuous comforter, rain shower, and even a dedicated make-up mirror. We were extremely pleased with our stay."

"Great hotel and spa, really well presented building and the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and polite. OK it's a little pricey but well worth the experience overall. The only negative for me was from the Lava restaurant where I had probably the worst steak ever especially given it's hefty price tag."

"We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Gio. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety! Also were able to store our luggage both when arriving early and the day we checked out since we weren’t flying out till late at night. Another convenient thing is that the flight bus that takes you straight to & from the airport is a very short walk away. We also enjoyed the “living room”(a large area with couches and tables), which is cozy and always has coffee or tea."
