"We were happy with the room; it was clean and comfortable, but my husband and I were not happy about the breakfast. They had run out of some of the food items as well as coffee at the breakfast bar, but the staff was rude when notified of this. Also, though the hours posted for breakfast was 6 to 10 am, the staff started putting food away at 9:10. I noticed the staff person using her bare hands to remove the bagels and bread from the bins. "

"“Historic” is a nice way to say old, eclectic, and in need of maintenance. No way to darken room from bright porch lights. Shower head broken. Room amenities not really up to expectations. Beds were worn and not supportive. "

"This cozy little property had so much to make us feel welcomed. Complimentary wine tasting, fresh baked cookies, friendly staff and lovely Christmas decorations. It’s an easy walk into downtown with a coffee place and brew yard even closer. Can’t wait to have a reason to go to SLO again and stay here. "
