"We enjoyed staying at Prince’s Gate Hotel. The on-site hot springs with three pools in the hotel garden were the best treat. We had a one-bedroom apartment for the two of us, which felt quite spacious, although the kitchen facility was bare minimum. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown Rotorua, with ample dining choices. "King bed room was newly refurbished and immaculate. Good view of lake. Only problem was layout. Settee was placed on same wall as tv so you couldn't watch tv from settee, only from bed. Elderly people would appreciate a seat. Bathroom excellent with large shower and demisting mirror. Pool is great, but a rail on steps would be a help when getting out. We used car charger for our ev.
