"The hotel was as expected! The lobby is neat. Adjoining rooms were nice for family. We were able to request a microwave which was convenient. Pool was decent. Great for kids; not sure it would be great for folks who did not want to be around a bunch of kids. Location is awesome! We enjoyed walking to the wharf and along the coastal trail."

Will be a plus when evening social hour and continental breakfast added to amenities. Easily walkable to a variety of coffee/pastry shops & casual or fancier dining & lots of quaint shops. "As a historical place, the rooms are rustic, but that pales in comparison to how great the location, grounds, access to the beach is. The CA State Park system is running this place very well."
