We stayed here a few years ago on a family trip and had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, this recent stay was not so welcoming. There was a lady working at the desk that had a rude demeanor. You could tell she was trying hard to sound polite but obviously insincere. I asked for more toiletries during our second night and she looked like I was inconveniencing her. Other than the condescending look on her face, she just went to the back to gather the things and didn’t say a word. During our first night, there was also a gentleman who seemed to have an attitude. My kids and I were helping ourselves to complimentary hot cocoa at the lobby when he took the hot water away without saying anything. My kids and I waited about 10 minutes assuming he was just getting more water heated. After waiting I politely asked if more was coming out and he looked at me as if I asked a dumb question. Probably our last stay at this hotel next time we’re in town. It’s too bad because it’s a great location away from the busy city.

The entire staff is excellent! All are polite and professional. The rooms are very comfortable. The HVAC is a bit challenging (figuring out the antiquated remote control) but other than that, excellent.
