"I had a wonderful visit in Wellington. Haka House was easy to get to from the airport. And the surrounding area had a lot of food options. It is conveniently located to all the sights, made walking to them accessible without having to catch a bus or call an Uber. I love it that the staff were all very friendly. "A group was having late party on our floor even there was a quiet hour rule. There was a number to call but we did not know. Room doesn’t have dryer so I used the one in the shared bathroom. Be aware that there is no AC but a fan in the room. Shower is also small. Everything else was great. There is entertainment inside and local discounts"

"One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The bathrooms are so cute, with blue tiles on the walls and copper pipes that make it look antique. Lots of privacy with curtains at your own bed, your own reading light and outlets. The hostel workers are fantastic. They host daily activities or meals. The night I stayed they made a full dinner for everyone. I would absolutely come back to this hostel"

"Walking to the place is uncomfortable through no fault of their own, construction is taking place on the street so there’s roadwork. That’s the only negative about the place, great apartment and comfortable bed. Cooking facilities are good with supermarkets and the Auckland CBD nearby, as well as skycity and the airport bus terminal, so is walkable if you can navigate the roadworks. The hotel has access to a nearby gym within reception hours, and has very friendly and knowledgeable staff....
