"This hotel is located close to the docks and Liverpool one making it perfect for a weekend away. The cleanliness was of a very high standard throughout the hotel. The rooms are huge!!! With the added bonus of a kitchen, the bathroom had a 4 person jacuzzi and a rain shower. What lets this hotel down is the decor is a little tired in places, the heating system didn’t work but the night shift team brought us heaters within minutes of us asking. "The Richmond used to be a great property but feels neglected of late. Room given initially was so smelly, asked the manager and to his credit changed the room to something more pleasant. Overall, the cleanliness is not great, lots of visible damage to the hotel, but only stayed for one night so made do. Have stayed before an the hotel does have a nice wing which is newer but rest of it was poor and it's the second time I've needed a room change. "

"Firstly Jaslyn behind the bar was exceptional - very polite and helpful with a lot of local knowledge and very personable. She was our favorite. Everyone was polite and friendly and helpful though. The location is a block from Cavern Quarter in one direction, the docks in another, and the World Museum in another not to mention all the great pubs and restaurants in the area. It was a perfect location. (I downranked the condition and facilities as I would have liked a main light in the main bedroom, and the tv was unplugged so I had to plug the ariel back in and there is a bit of erosion on the wall paper just above the toilet in room 310 - but it was spotless and the shower was amazing and love the big pillows and having loads of them). "
