"The staff were very helpful and charming in offering us guidance - how to save on taxis. We were within walking distance of Arenal Waterfall but to get to La Fortuna we needed transportation. The rain was heavier than we expected this time of year- early December. We missed having television in our rooms, but there was a serenity to the location."

"This is a beautiful riverside lodge which allows its residents to listen to the sound of the rushing river while seeing many species of birds and other animals on the grounds. There were many bird watchers in the dining hall and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The did a river safari tour which helped us to see even more caiman, iguanas, howler monkeys and toucans."

The staff was helpful with scheduling activities, and no fault of theirs that the activity wasn’t as advertised. We rode horseback to the waterfall meaning we rode horses up one side of a mountain and had to walk down to the waterfall and back up, was told it was 400 steps and it was literally 9000, straight down and back up. "We stayed in the villa which was perfect for a family of four with teenage kids. The hotel had a wonderful position overlooking the volcano and was well situated for activities and getting into Fortuna. The staff were great with a specific call out for Maurizio. Great stay and happy to recommend."
