"There was no communication between staff and guest because the staff "acted" like they couldnt speak english and when i used a spanish app they acted like they had no clue until they needed my money then suddenly they understood what i said and english. Constant noise and animals. Pool sucks too. They provide a home cooked breakfast which was really good so thats why they get 1 star but nothing else."

"The property needs proper cleaning and during the night, you’re all alone in the middle of nowhere. No A/C and the windows doesn’t have any screens. Mosquitos enter your room freely. "

"We stayed here for one night, and it was lovely. Supper and breakfast were great, and soaking in the jacuzzi while listening to all the birds, cicadas and other animals was very relaxing. The view from the back deck and hammock was incredible when the clouds went away! It was great to relax with a book. "Paul and the team and the best in the area. If you are thinking of staying in Fortuna, take a few extra minutes and drive a little further north to paradise in the mountains. The rooms, the amenities and the scenery are a 10! We ate at the private restaurant every night and we were happy we did. "Our room was very spacious and on the first floor. We even had a balcony at the other end of the room. The pool was small and a disabled person in our party could not get in it because there were no handrails. The setting was up in the mountains north of Alajuela and the air was fresh at night. We will return to this hotel because it is not far from the airport."
