"It's nice to have a room surrounded by nature, and breakfast was good with variety of choices and lots of birds around, felt very relaxing. Our reservation covered 2 breakfast, so we just had to pay $9 for the extra person (we are a family of 3). The only thing I would complain was the walls are thin, so if you have a noisy neighbor, you can hear everything. But this was not the hotel's fault. This was our first 2 nights in Costa Rica, so we didn't realize that you are not supposed to throw...

"Not the smoothest of steep roads up the hill but well worth it when you get there. Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. "My favorite feature was the attached restaurant that overlooked a field. They had trees right nearby with fruit hung up so that all sorts of birds came up close. Good areas to sit and read by the pool. Easy 5-min walk or less into town for shopping, groceries, pharmacy, or more food. Bathrooms were average, but rooms are spacious, with AC and a desk. "
