It was so comfy as it has floor heat on the floor. it is in a quiet residential area, you do need to walk about 5-10 mins out to the busier dining area. the share bathtub is a piece of art. a kitchen to share and you can leave your items in the share fridge. Owner and staffs are always helpful and they also arranged the luggage delivery for us. Highly recommended."

"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. There is no breakfast buffet, no vending machines, none...

"The location is easy to get to, but the beauty of the property is the property itself. The unit we were in was lovely and well cared for. The indoor and outdoor tubs were luxurious, the traditional breakfast was the perfect way to end our stay! Our hosts were lovely, welcoming, and thoughtful in the offering! The hotel has no lobby for guests to even sit to put shoes on and space at the hotel entrance is very cramped, narrow and crowded for even one person to walk through with any baggage. Owner only offered one tea bag a day for a two persons room. I will not consider coming back again in the future."
