"Wonderful old pub. The staff was very friendly. I hung out at the pub for trivia night. Great food and beer and quiet rooms. Rooms are across the street from the pub so noise not a problem."

Meals were returned to the kitchen uneaten, but the £26 were not refunded. Breakfast was ok, but served on a dirty table with last night's drink stains on it. The only saving grace were the friendly and welcoming staff."

"Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation. "Nice clean comfortable room but no tea spoons so a bit of a challenge to make a cup of tea! We arrived at 8.30pm and they had stopped food. However, they rustled us up a plate of chips :) "

There are a number of pubs and restaurants within a short walk as you would expect. The White Horse is only around 10 minutes walk from the station on well lit busy streets.
