"Funny little place. Rooms upstairs in a pub but dont let that put you off as pub is only open 3-8pm. Kitchen wasnt doing breakfast which would have been handy to know before i turned up. Very convenient for the city, with free off street parking which is a rarity in york. Room was clean and comfy. Wpuld stay again for the price. "

"After reading some of the negative reviews we were very pleasantly surprised. Staff were helpful and attentive and actually went above and beyond. Overall the property is a little dated and and in one of our rooms the tv wasn't working properly and in another the the lightbulbs needed replacing but it's clean, the beds are comfy and it's close to town. Would definitely stay here again."

"Monk Bridge in York was our favourite stay after travelling all through England. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the entire B&B is lovely, with a serene backyard garden and a lounging room.
