"Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. The bar area was nice, log fire burning and lots of locals in there. One negative was the water temp in the shower - I imagine as it’s an old...

"Spent a pleasant night with my wife at The Talbot Hotel and we were well looked after by Craig and his colleagues. The hotel dates back to the 1600s and is very atmospheric and full of history. Although no evening meal was available the full English breakfast in the morning was excellent. Would stay again."

I was hoping to arrive in daylight but had hold ups on the motorway so it was pitch black and although Tom Tom got me to the right place there was no indication that told me where the farm house was. A few lables for the B&B would help. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay"
