"This guest house was the most wonderful and beautiful place I have ever stayed. The peaceful koi pond and fountain were so calming, and the grounds with the beautiful gardens and fruit trees were such a gorgeous backdrop. The pictures don’t do the estate justice. It’s beyond words. Jeff and Jennifer were incredibly kind and thoughtful and very helpful with suggestions of how to make the most of my time on the Big Island. The bed is very comfortable, and the house was so tastefully furnished and decorated. It has everything you could need and more. There is even a ukulele, which I played a few times! When I wasn’t out exploring, I spent most of my time sitting on the porch taking it all in. Truly did not want to leave. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return!!"

"All staff were welcoming and helpful. It was nice having a fridge, microwave and sink to be able to eat in at times. Laundry facilities were available. I'd go for a dip in the ocean right next door and then hop into the pool. Very relaxing. Ask for a room, second floor, overlooking the pool as this gives you a nice view of the ocean as well. Very good location in Hilo "

"One doesn't really go to the lodge for its fabulous amenities. It is a piece of history and as such - sure, it's dated, no TV most rooms are a bit small and the washrooms are tiny - But clean. You go there for the volcano! This time around (our 5th time staying here) the volcano was right out front. Nice dinner in the pub with a non stop view. Plus we splurged on the large park side room and watched the action all night. The staff are truly wonderful and live the Aloha spirit. Highly recommend "

"This was an ideal location for us and close to where we wanted to go on the Big Island. The room was compact and had everything we needed. The property is charming and was especially amazing at night with laser lights twinkling all over the gardens. Plenty of off road parking was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend to others!"

"All the water views and it felt homely as soon as u walked in. Needs more parking "
