"Booked as part of a friend's 50th birthday celebrations. Location is very convenient for Westfield white city or the itv/bbc studios nearby. There was a conversation about decorating the room with some balloons etc for my friend. This was also printed in the leaflet the hotel emailed to me, a few days before we checked in. However when arriving at the hotel, they said this had not been done and they did not have any decorations. Do not offer things, if they cannot be provided as it just gives...

"Great location and well-equipped. However, it is a small studio (and the bathroom is tiny!) but for one person or a couple it's fine. The only real drawback is that since it is on the lower ground floor, you can hear the underground, other residents and street noise. Would stay again but prefer an upper unit."

"Our room at The Portobello Hotel was huge and richly decorated...we loved spending time in it ,which is unusual for hotel rooms. Breakfast was delightful. Staff was very accommodating including keeping our bag as we went off to Egypt. Hotel is walking distance to Portobello market and lots of great restaurants and Holland Park!"

"Fab location, great spacious, comfortable studio flat. Very clean on arrival - gets cleaned again after three days (not super impressive cleaning then..). Single glazing means you do hear street noise but the location makes up for it. "

"Top floor but worth climbing the stairs to apartment 8 for. Clean and well equipped. Bedroom at rear so quiet. No air conditioning which would have been useful but a large fan in the bedroom certainly helped. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!"

"The property was extremely close to public transport. Staff was super friendly and bent over backwards to help with any questions or concerns. The room w/ kitchenet was great. Water pressure was perfect. My mattress was hard and wifi was weak. It worked well on my Chromebook, but was terrible on the phone. The front stairs need railings. Slippery when it rains."
