What I didn’t like was discovering we were out in a room with an adjoining door to the next room - this meant we could hear quite a bit from their room, and at times they were noisy - they got up before we did, and we were conscious that they went to bed earlier than us. "The place with character. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Fridge with water and beer plus coffee maker were a positive surprise. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast included in the price. The place was shutting down for refurbishment and it seemed to need some renovation work. However, it had positive vibes, interesting interior design and was conveniently located. I will want to come back to see it after refurbishment. "

"The property was extremely close to public transport. Staff was super friendly and bent over backwards to help with any questions or concerns. The room w/ kitchenet was great. Water pressure was perfect. My mattress was hard and wifi was weak. It worked well on my Chromebook, but was terrible on the phone. The front stairs need railings. Slippery when it rains."

"Our room at The Portobello Hotel was huge and richly decorated...we loved spending time in it ,which is unusual for hotel rooms. Breakfast was delightful. Staff was very accommodating including keeping our bag as we went off to Egypt. Hotel is walking distance to Portobello market and lots of great restaurants and Holland Park!"

"Like sleeping in an ashtray. The room had clearly been smoked on and used by a smoker. I awoke with a sore throat each morning and could smell stale smoke constantly during my stay. I was telephoned had told to check in at another premises. Not too far away however I had a heavy bag and had already travelled a few hours. The advert shows a large breakfast offering.
