"Fire alarm first night in it took us an hour and 45 min to get to our room because the lift wouldn’t start up again. Regardless the staff was very patient and polite and very accommodating to guests in the lobby. Would def stay again. "

"The location of the hotel could not be more perfect, and so is the price but the real reason we stay here is the people. Literally ALL the people we encountered at the River Hotel have been incredible. Given the expected turnover in staff in two years, we were thrilled to see the same gentleman behind the counter. The other two staffers were genuine, honest and extremely helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near the Loop. (One unexpected bonus - if you can spot the Trump building you know where your hotel is - right across the street. ) "
