"Pleasant hotel. Good bar and great food with reasonably priced drinks. Rooms are big and very clean, decent bathroom and good showers. The bed was very firm which on a personal preference was too firm for me and the pillows we very very lumpy but that was the only negative. "

"Beautiful building and grounds. Hotel a bit tired, no fridge in room. Arrived back at 12.05...bar shut which was then opened for 20 mins...not the norm for nightcap"

"Great location and a very spacious room, which was clean and well equipped. Perhaps in need of a little modernisation but was very comfortable. Great bed and shower. Check in took a little while but was friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection of food. Very busy on Sunday morning but quiet on Monday morning. The hostess Janet was excellent and remained calm during the rush, despite the queue of guests waiting for a table. Would definitely return."
