"Great stately hotel built in 1850's a stone throw from Central Railway Station which we wanted, renovated in 1930's featuring interwar architecture. Appears constantly updated as our room and the hotel features showed. Sparkling clean large size rooms very well maintained. Don't expect a 5 star faculties such as the bathroom equipped with shower only withs mall raped bars of soap small bottle of shampoo and conditioning, then again you are not paying a 4 star price. "Arrived mid morning on 29th March, well before check in time, to request if we could leave our bags with reception until we were able to check in. To my surprise the reception manager went to see if there was a room available, which there was, and allowed us to check in early and leave our bags in the room. This was exceptional service which we very much appreciated"
