"Beautiful old palace charmingly converted to a hotel. One minute walk from Santa Lucia station and Grand Canal. Good breakfast, charming staff, highly recommended. Better facilities than usual in 3 star hotels."

"The staff at Ca' Vendramin Zago are very friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome. Ca' Vendramin Zago traces its history to the 16th century. I stayed in a small suite with a balcony and a canal view. My room had a high ceiling with a fresco and a chandelier made from Murano glass. It is this sense of history that I enjoyed most about the room. Overall the room was clean and functional, but it was not without a few downsides. The bathroom was tiny and there were a few small items that did not quite work (an inoperative motion sensor light, shower door that closed only with difficulty, a hallway door that scraped on the floor). I found the hotel location to be quite convenient. Less than 100m from a main thoroughfare, and perhaps a 6 minute walk from a vaporetto (water bus) dock. "

"Incredibly clean hotel. The people front desk were amazing and room service 24 hours. Our room was cleaned everyday and even when we left the room late at 3pm we came back to the room cleaned with fresh linen and towels. Breakfast was lovely so cannot fault the hotel. One thing I will say is do not eat in the restaurants along the main strip. These are just tourist traps and the food is either cooked feom frozen or very bland. We did a tasting tour late on the break and wished we had done it earlier. There are some amazing restaurants in the back streets head and shoulders above the main reataurants."

"Really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect budget hotel right in the heart of Venice! It is very basic, so maybe not right if you prefer to relax in the hotel a lot, but if you just want a safe comfortable place to stay in the city this is a great choice. Staff were so nice and went above and beyond to help. Location is PERFECT! Just minutes walking from the bus stop, ferry station, and train station, so however you arrive, its easy to get to. You can easily explore the streets of venice from here by foot or it's close to a waterbus stop if you prefer. As I said, it is basic, so there is no microwave, kettle, or fridge, or temp control in the rooms, so it did quite stuffy, but the bed was very comfortable snd the staff gave us a fan to use to help with the air. If you want to stay in the city of Venice but can't afford the other prices you're seeing, this is a really great option and i highly recommend. One word of caution though - the website is outdated. It says they offer breakfast as well as airport pickup, which they apparently no longer do, just FYI. "
