"Very nice hotel, friendly staff.car park £10:00 for 24 hrs. Check in 3:00pm, you have to be off by 12:00 the next day, so only 21 hrs . A bit petty, but that's the only moan I have."

"If you are looking for a hotel with charm and an old world feel, this is it. While it's not one of those chain hotels, it's got a comfy, cozy feeling with lots of history (Tolkien stayed here). The rooms are very comfortable with lots of charm & character. I can't say enough about how nice & welcoming the staff is either. Top notch. Order the morning breakfast, well worth the cost. Very close to Uni of Birmingham & about 2 miles from Bull Ring, downtown area. Right on transit routes, so...
