"Booked just one night as a last minute getaway. Stayed in the Penthouse which has a large blacony with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. The beams are low at the edges of the room but we are both tall and managed to avoid them :) I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again in the future."

"Fabulous location, 5 minute walk from centre of Grasmere. Great rooms but bed and pillows very firm only downside. Some people may prefer that. Pub itself has a great menu and beer selection, plus a fabulous breakfast. Great value for money. Public transport all over local area from bus stop outside front door. "
