"I spent 8 nights at The Grand Amsterdam. The service and location are impeccable. The room isn't overly elegant but it's very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay very much. The bed is great and provides a wonderful night's sleep. There is an overhead "rainfall" shower head but the pressure isn't great and the water temp could be hotter. "Very very nice accommodation! The location is great for the big museums and tram to city center is at the end of the block. The area is tourist central and I would guess v lively in summer Beds below grade meant dead quiet for sleep quality. The only negative is the stairs. Very Dutch; very tight spiral with small treads. Not suitable if at all mobility challenged. Bit hard with large heavy baggage. Kitchen was v convenient. W/D worked well Host is A++. "
