"The breakfast was well worth the extra money. The reception staff was very helpful. We chose not to have our room cleaned but asked for clean towels. They did not bring them until our third request. The electricity in our friends' room didn't work. It was not turned on until late in the day, after it had been requested early in the morning. Evidently it only took a flip of a switch in the control room. We wish we had not been awakened in the middle of the night by a fire alarm, reportedly caused...

"We were worried about the traffic noise but were lucky to get a large room on the 9th floor with a balcony and it was very quiet. Location is great. Close to the Central Station and the tram. We were walkable to Chinatown and the harbor and the Star Casino. Our one complaint is the housekeeping schedule was inconsistent and some days we never did get service but we were credited for this when we checked out. Breakfast was included and it was very good. "

"Over all we were happy with our stay. The staff and hotel it's self were great and I love the art deco feel of the lobby. Some things I didn't like was the music coming from the street playing till late. The pool area was extremely crowded, when we went to the pool there was at least 20 children in the hot tub, jumping to and from the pool. There was a section by the bar, which was signed "No children passed this point" however when I walked through it there was at least 9 children there. The...

"There's a lot to like about this property. I appreciated the location, the complimentary bar vouchers upon arrival and the room was a great size too - but there were some shortcomings. The design of the building means if your room is close to the atrium, the noice from the lobby and bar area is quite substantial, there were a few stray hairs left in the bathroom which is a bit ick and getting to the hotel from the Darling Harbour side isn't straightforward. Overall, we enjoyed out stay. "
