"Staff brilliant and jasmine on the bar was really nice she really did far and beyond with our drinks. The room was very tired with stains on the wall looked like drinking chocolate and carpets could do with a deep clean but room was ok for an overnight stay. The room could do with a refresh as silicone is missing from part of shower tray and only one plug to charge mobile by the bed so my partner couldn’t charge her phone so maybe suggest a maintenance visit in near future but like I say for a...

"Location is very convenient and free parking very nice to have for this area. Room was nice enough, but not the most comfortable seating area or bed. Bed was very firm which isn’t my preference. Would still stay here again though as overall it’s a good option for the area. "

"Not much we didn't like. Handy to trains ( our preferred method of transport), to Cardiff central, and easy to get in and out. Lifts are confusing and can leave before you get to the door. Dining room very good, commend the chef. And the more than adequate room had a bath! A rarity in hotels these days but very welcome. We've never stayed in a bad Mercure, that remains the case."
