"We had a very pleasant 3 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout from initial welcome to final farewell. The room was large enough clean and warm, the bed had a solid frame, the mattress was softer than my preference but my wife was happy. The bathroom was large with a spacious powerful shower. "We had a lovely relaxing break. The hotel was proper olde worldy, lots of period features and interesting layout. Being a very old property, some parts could benefit from a refresh. However, the place was clean, warm and cozy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and plentiful. Especially good was the Sri Lankan set meal. "

"A great place to stay in Central Oxford for a weekend, plus we needed to drop off luggage early and the contact was very helpful. Note that the hotel is unstaffed for large parts of the time, also being central it was quite noisy at night, but very cosy and clean. "
