"Gorgeous stay, lovely and clean and just a calming environment. We had a problem with the hairdryer not working but once we spoke to reception it was working within five minutes after the last came and sorted it."

"24 hour reception so no worries about late check-ins… (might have to let them know if there’s a chance of this though?) Room was great for family of four. Rooms are very quiet - I think soundproofed. Breakfast was really great! I only marked it down slightly on the cleanliness etc due to state of carpet in our room but really pleased for the money."

"This hotel is extremely convenient for Cardiff Central Station, it's just a short walk away. I was a solo female traveller and the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, assisting me with how to operate the air conditioning and where to find food and taxis. The room was small but clean, and the bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows. Recommended for a short stopover. "

"Hotel close to centre, room was small but nice and bathroom was clean. Car park close by is expensive for a day £17 for 24hours. Would stay again but park elsewhere"

"Even though from the outside, the building looks a bit rough, it is really nice inside! Would book myself again into The Royal without any hesitation should the need arise. Very good quality breakfast, nice rooms. Recommended!"
