We loved our stay here, it’s very spread out so you feel like you have a lot of space. It’s beautiful inside and outside, very comfortable with good facilities. The extras like the tea and coffee and toiletries were of very good quality. We used the spa (which you need to book) and the gym, both were small but had everything you needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and return.

It was very peaceful as soon as you drive up the driveway. Everybody was very friendly, very clean and easy to park. This was my second visit and will go again. Highly recomended

A lovely building set in beautiful grounds, it looks stunning as you approach on the drive in. Quick and easy check-in process, but unfortunately, our first room was stiflingly hot and we changed rooms without issue. The evening meal in the 1853 was just OK….the £13 ‘Duck Terrine’ starter just looked like Pâté, the £7 Caesar Salad was dressed with what tasted like a generic supermarket bottled dressing and the £9 Tiramisu was ‘sweaty’ suggesting it had been prepared away from the property. Overall, I get the impression the building and fabulous grounds do a lot of ‘heavy lifting’ for the rest of the experience. Just my opinion…..

Amazing architecture. Very smart, polite, friendly and helpful staff. Extremely interesting building, full of history. Beautiful setting and massive grounds. Great views. Very comfortable. Very nice getaway Hotel. Staff were great and helpful. The food wasn’t amazing but was good enough. I would have preferred if the hotel offered more options as it is very remote. We had a nice relaxing time in the Spa.

Great place to stay.
Lovely hotel and extremely friendly staff. Only negative was spa. Steam room dirty, and could do with a deep clean, and generally the whole changing area, pool area was dirty and tired.
