"We had a lovely stay! The owners are very kind and responsive and were happy to help us with advice on what to do and booking tours, and also happy to let us do our own thing. The Italian restaurant on site is also run by the owners and it is delicious. Very laid back place, easy going, nice accommodations and a short walk to Marino Ballena Park, beaches, restaurants, and bakeries. "The room was very nice and clean. I appreciated the hosts’ work to make it an enjoyable stay. The howler monkeys hooting at 5:30 am made sure I didn’t sleep in for my 7 am start at Costa Rica Dive and Surf. It was a pleasant stay. "

"This hotel is a wooden cabin which has more of a hostel feel. It is far from Uvita’s centre and it’s hard to get a taxi or food delivery to the hotel. You need to go through a dirt road to get here. The breakfast was scarce and the rice reheated from the day before (I hope). The room felt humid even though the aircon was on. No wifi reached the bedroom. Expensive for the accommodations. Having said that, the grounds and beautiful and staff was kind. "

"Lovely property with responsive hosts. The bungalow properties are uniquely whimsical and private. Perfect location outside of the hustle & bustle of Dominical, but a 20 minute drive away. Grocer & restaurants even closer. No A/C but decent fans available. It’s cooler in the evenings “up the hill” from Dominical. "

"The rooms a very unique and they property is beautiful. We had tiny bats roosting on our villa and it was fabulous to watch them swoop and dive over the river in the evening. The owner & staff were lovely although my lack of Spanish made communication difficult. There was few maintenance issues, and the room it’s self could do with a little love."

The owner, Eric, had previously given us a list of resources on things to do and see while in the area. They were all great choices and we had a fantastic time experiencing them. From nice dining, secluded beaches, refreshing waterfalls and roaming on ATV’s, this area has it all.The house sits on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the whale tale.
