"We loved Canavida! If you want the hustle and bustle of a city, this place isn't for you. But if you want to be in the middle of nature with spectacular views, this place is heaven. It is well equipped with everything you need, and is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Just make sure to bring in whatever groceries you need before you start the drive up the long dirt road. The road was fine, but we were glad we had a 4x4 with high clearance. We could have driven without it, but it was easy with it. "

"This is the place to stay if you are in Uvita, Costa Rica!! whether 2 people like my son and I or 8, this house is magical. It is in a private gated community so very safe. It is surrounded by a gorgeous lush jungle full of wildlife. We saw white faced monkeys, coatimundis, lizards, tucans and other exotic birds, in addition to hearing the howler monkeys. You have an incredible view of the ocean with a private pool. Much of the main floor is large windows so you always have a view of the jungle and ocean. There is a cabana with a thatched roof with a bar area next to the house and pool. Each bedroom has a deck off of it in addition to the large covered deck going around the main floor. This house is also part of a private beach club with a small restaurant and facilities which is rare for this area. The owner was super informative and helpful. She sent detailed directions, restaurant recommendations and links to activities. she also helped me with advice when I was having tire problems with my rental car. My son said this trip was his favorite spring break and much of it had to do with staying at this house. I hope to come back."

"My wife and I had a fantastic week and enjoyed Casa Pastores a lot. You definitely need a car to get around Uvita, to the beach and up and down the road. We’re were amazed at how many fantastic restaurants there are a short walk away. The service responsiveness from OSA was amazing."

"After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony and view of the tropical gardens. The breakfast was good with several options, and the pool and lounging area were the perfect addition after a day at Bahia Ballena and other excursions. The staff, Jess at the front desk, the cooking and cleaning crew were all wonderful and very friendly. There is a grocery store/deli, Steve's, right at the corner which was great to have, and a restaurant La Fogata directly across from it, with many more dining options just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed our time in Uvita and happily recommend staying here. "

"From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the attention to detail, cleanliness and beauty of the property. The home and kitchen were well equipped with everything we needed and situated in an excellent location with stores, restaurants and local attractions within a few minutes drive. The host Natasha was excellent at communicating and was very responsive the entire time from checking in, to checking out. She also made several restaurant recommendations and answered all my questions prior to coming to Uvita. Thoughtfulness, such as a bowl full of fresh fruit upon arrival was a nice added touch. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor space including the pool, were a dream! Only the bedrooms had air conditioning so the house did get extremely warm( the one and only negative). Not much of a breeze flows through this property. Still, even with that we can't recommend this property enough. If you're looking for the perfect getaway, look no further. "
