"We loved the house, pool, views, and yes animals. You are in the rainforest. We loved that we could keep the bedroom door closed with AC and keep the critters out. Otherwise be ready for outdoor living. Also it did come with a difficult drive uphill on a dirt and bumpy road for 10 minutes. It was fun driving but even with our 4x4 it limited how many times we were willing to make the drive every day. The beds could be better and some small repairs were needed but not enough to dampen our time....

"This house is located way up on the mountain. It has a beautiful view of the Whales tail. From the bedrooms and pool deck. Inside the house is very spacious. Plenty of room for two families. It was just me and my wife. Adri the caretaker is great and will help you out if you need anything. The pool nice but was a bit cold when we were there .You will need a all wheel or 4 wheel deive vehicle to get upthe mountain "

"Loved every minute of being here! Beautiful views all around! The main part of the house is completely opened to outside! Which we loved. We felt very safe at all times! We heard monkeys and saw a toucan. Tons of butterflies and hummingbirds flying all around! Dennis the property manager was very helpful and always available! Thanks for the stay and we definitely recommend going to Costa Rica and staying at this beautiful house!"

"This was an excellent property at a great price albeit in a bit of an inconvenient location with no view to speak of. The host was great and very accommodating. Communication occurred through Watsapp. Laundry facilities available but no detergent provided. Hand soap and dish soap provided."

"Ron and Giselle were amazing hosts for our wonderful stay at Slice of Paradise. We were entranced by literally hundreds of butterflies as we strolled the 100 meters to the amazing beach; where we could choose to sit in the sun or under the shade of the palms, as we enjoyed the ocean breeze, ocean surf, and amazing sunsets. "Our group of four just loved this vacation home and it's owner Michelle. The home is surrounded by the jungle and lots of Costa Rican wildlife. We loved the many different areas to relax in and around the house. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were fantastic as well! A big bonus was the boogie boards and beach chairs available for use. As recommended by Michelle, we hiked the trail on the property to the beautiful river. It was a great experience...

"Beautiful home, yard and patio. Saw tons of humming birds, a few toucans, and an abundance of other birds. There is also a family of coatis living on the edge of the property that would come out in the yard on occasion. Even got a visit from a white-tailed deer one morning. The home is well stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, etc. and the patio was our favorite place to hang out, both in the morning and evening. Owner and property manager were both very responsive during our stay."

"Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay here!! The house, amenities and property exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent and in walking distance to Marino Ballena park and restaurants. The adult highlight was having excellent coffee (included) on the deck while watching the view/sunrise with macaws flying by. The kids loved the pool and hammocks. "The house was amazing. It had everything you need from a great kitchen, pool, outdoor grill and very importantly an awesome view. The outdoor lawn was well maintained, very beautiful and it added to the overall stay of the house. The shower in the master bathroom did not have cold water. We did not bring it up since we were able to manage. Mind you, there are a lot of flying insects, some spiders, very beautiful butterflies but it's expected since this is not a suburban area. "
