" We stayed at Casa Oropéndola at Canavida Resort from March 31st to April 4th, and it was nothing short of magical. The property is absolutely stunning—tucked into the lush hills of Uvita with breathtaking ocean views and surrounded by nature. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys and tropical birds, then taking a dip in our own private pool while watching the sunrise—unreal. The 2-bedroom home is beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of modern comfort and eco-luxury. Everything was spotless and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which made it easy to enjoy meals at home. We spent most of our time outside on the patio or in the pool, soaking in the peaceful vibes. The location couldn’t be better. It’s close to the beaches, waterfalls, and the national park, but still feels totally secluded and serene. The drive up is part of the adventure (definitely recommend a 4x4), and the views are 100% worth it. The hosts were fantastic—super responsive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. If you're considering a stay here—do it. You won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!"

"I was looking for a place in the mountains with access to water to spend a five day silent retreat. This place was absolutely perfect. Everywhere you walk there are streams of water coming down from the mountains. The water is so clear you can drink it straight from the stream. I slept on the front porch most nights because you could hear the water running all night and the weather was perfect night and day. The hosts, Bill & Rosalee, were fantastic,very accommodating. They arranged for their yard man and his son to take me wherever I needed to go including the airport on my way back. I forgot to bring a jacket. They provided me a jacket and a rain poncho. A on everything."

"Villa Los Aires is simply breathtaking! Esteban was outstanding as were the housekeeper and the cook. The main concierge was hands off and really left most of the heavy lifting to the staff on site who stepped up and showed us an amazing time! All three of them took great care of us showed us all the wonders that Costa Rica had to offer on the property… the river, the waterfalls, and all of the amazing creatures of nature. Even when some of the group wasn’t feeling great Esteban stepped in to make sure our needs were met, and everybody was on the mend. I highly recommend the property and its staff if you want I truly amazing stay. A couple items of note: the road to the villa is quite mountainous so if you are someone who suffers from motion sickness, be prepared. Also, hot water is sometimes not abundant in the showers, but with the heat and humidity, the cooler showers were often welcomed. "

"My girlfriend and I recently spent a week at "Refugio Madreselva". All expectations were exceeded. It's an easy 3.5 hour drive from SJO. You really do need a 4x4 to get up the driveway, go slow and steady, not bad at all. The pool and subsequent views of the valley below were the highlight. House and property were well manicured / landscaped. Carolina greeted us with breakfast each morning - she and her husband (groundskeeper) are amazing. I mentioned to Carolina that it was my GF's birthday during the trip. The next day she stopped by with the best tres leches cake I have ever tasted. So thoughtful.I would highly recommend a 20 min drive to Ojachal for a few dinners - great food. We will be back - this is a special place!!! "
